LIVI

 

LIVI is the UK registered company of the parent Swedish organisation KRY International. The company offers an online consultation service that a GP practice can use. It enables patients to see a GP at their own convenience via smartphone or using a laptop.

The services use locum doctors in offices away from the practice itself, to conduct consultations online. Whilst it can be used at any time, its primary function is to reduce Out of Hours Services and potential A&E admission, as a patient will be able to see a doctor, even if they cannot get to the surgery, or if the surgery is closed.

The Digital E-Health Testbed is working with LIVI to model the economic effect of their services in GP practices in comparison to existing Out of Hours services provided in primary care. In addition, there was also some usability testing, and implementation related interviews with clinical and administrative staff.
