We are delighted to announce Cornwall’s 4th dementia conference.
This year it will be taking place at the Pavilion Centre, Royal Cornwall Showground, in Wadebridge, 08:45 registration, event starts at 09:15 finishing at 15:45, on Friday 16th May 2025. Introducing International Dementia Action Week 19th-25th May.
The emphasis of this year’s conference is research, living well with dementia and supporting carers. The conference will feature a range of speakers and workshops.
Some of the confirmed line-up includes:
- Professor David Sheard, Professor of Emotional Intelligence in Care, delivering a session on ‘Living well in Dementia Care requires Emotional Intelligence – research is becoming repetitive’.
- Dr Gillian Horne, delivering a session on ‘Digital Technology and Dementia’.
- Caroline Ellis will be hosting a Care and Share event.
- Workshops including; Sleep Better – Feel Better, Falmouth Art Gallery – A Travelling Exhibition for Memory Cafes, and Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends.
Booking Information
We ask everyone except people living with dementia, their unpaid carers and those watching at home for a £20.00 fee. This subsidises a proportion of the event cost. This fee is non-refundable.
Please book using the booking form below to secure a place. Please only request a single ticket unless you are an unpaid carer or a person living with dementia. This will ensure that we can identify individual needs / requirements and ensure we obtain a good cross section of attendance from each group.

The Pavilion Centre has wheelchair and lift access and free parking with specific spots for those needing closer parking and hearing loop if required.
