Our latest Leadership Programme is a 9-month bespoke development programme for those new into management, or those aspiring to start their first role in management. This may include Team Leaders, Supervisors, Management Leads, Reception Leads, or Clinicians who are new to managing people in their practice. It is ideal for those managing individuals.
This programme has been developed to reflect the challenges of leading in primary care in Cornwall. It will be delivered via a blended learning model, incorporating 4 core modules, individual 1:1 coaching and completion of an Insights psychometric profile. The programme will be delivered by Crisp Professional Development, an Exeter based company, with over 30 years experience of training and development and the company currently delivering the leadership programmes for the Clinical Directors and Central ICA.
Outcomes of the Programme
The programme is intended to achieve the following:
- Provide an insight into your understanding of your preferred leadership style, strengths and preferences .
- Provide a grounding in the principles of managing others, including communication, delegation and managing performance.
- Develop skills and knowledge to help build, motivate and engage your team
- Facilitate the practical application of these skills within your role
Course Overview
- Completion of Insight Profile
- Introduction to Insights Workshop – Monday 21st September(time TBC)
- Individual 1:1 meeting to review insights profile (arranged on an individual basis and to be completed by 9th October 2026)
Core Modules: Please note you must attend all sessions
- Module 1: You as a Leader – Wednesday 14th October 2026, 9.30am-4.30pm, venue TBC
- Module 2: Leading others and Communication – Thursday 3rd December 2026, 9.30am-4.30pm , venue TBC
- Module 3: Performance Management – Thursday 11th February 2027, 9.30am – 4.30pm, venue TBC
- Module 4: Developing Teams – Thursday 22nd April 2027, 9.30am-4.30pm, venue TBC
Participants must attend all elements of the programme. The start date for the programme is 14th October 2026, but please note you must complete an online survey to inform your personal profile by 9th October and attend the online Introduction to Insights sessions on 21st September 2026. This will be followed by an individual discussion on your profile prior to the start of the course. You will also be able to access up to 2 individual coaching sessions arranged at a time to suit you.

Course Cost
This course is funded by the Training Hub through retention funding. However, due to late withdrawals from previous courses, we are now adding a small charge of £100 to cover admin costs.
