Skills Development for Primary Health Care Support Workers – ‘Bootcamp in Clinical Pathways’ – starting 12th September 2024


An innovative Skills Bootcamp to support non-registered employees working in Primary Care who are looking to develop and progress in their clinical role or onto educational pathways.

This is an excellent opportunity for unregistered staff in primary care to step onto a clinical career pathway or to simply equip new or existing staff with key clinical skills via evidence based current teaching and one to one support in practice resulting in a recordable qualification.

Course Breakdown

  • 12 days
  • Thursdays: Commencing 12th September – 5th December 2024
  • Location: Truro College
  • DfE Funded (90% SMEs, 70% large organisations)

Knowledge and skills align with National Occupational Standards at Level 3

Course Content

  • Demonstrating professional practice
  • Undertaking physiological measurements
  • Venepuncture
  • Recording ECGs

Introduction to:

  • Diabetes care
  • NHS Checks
  • Treatment and dressings
  • RESTORE2
