This course is being run on 20th May 2026, 9:00am until 5:00pm at Hotel Vara, 49 Falmouth Road, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 2HL
This full-day educational session is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the care of adults with Type 2 Diabetes who are already treated with insulin, or who wish to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and confidence in reviewing, adjusting and supporting ongoing insulin therapy. The session focuses on evidence-based approaches to safe and individualised insulin management, lifestyle considerations and monitoring within clinical practice. The educational content is RCN accredited and aligns with national guidance, promoting person-centred and clinically safe diabetes care.
Learning Outcomes (summary)
By the end of the session, participants will have:
- Increased understanding of how insulin works and when it is required in Type 2 Diabetes.
- Greater awareness of insulin regimens, dose adjustment and lifestyle considerations.
- Improved confidence in applying national guidance to insulin management decisions.
- Enhanced understanding of blood glucose monitoring, safety considerations and hypoglycaemia management.
