Implants for Contraception (Face to Face Learning) – 4th July 2024

This course is delivered by Dr Sarah Gray and will be taking place at St Erme Medical on 4th July 2024, 2.00pm-4.30pm. Places are limited.

This will be a workshop session aimed at those who are new to provision of implants as well as existing or lapsed providers wishing to refresh.  You should be working in a primary care environment that will allow you to complete training (if new) and then allow sufficient activity to maintain your competency.  You will need to have experience of offering contraceptive choices and will ideally be a prescriber though if that is not the case you will need to have prescribing support.

We will cover the fundamentals of the method as well as fitting and removal techniques.  Emphasis will be placed on appropriate patient selection and subsequent problem solving.

The session is taught in a face-to-face small group interactive format with model arms for practice and lots of opportunity for questions and case discussion.
