General Practice Partnership Development Programme starting 4 November2025


New Programme to Support New and Existing Partners

This is an in-depth programme for those who have recently taken on a Partnership role in Practice, or have taken on additional responsibilities as a Partner.  However, Partners who feel it may benefit them are welcome to join.  It has been developed in conjunction with the Collaborative Board and is run over 12 months.  The programme covers a range of topics, including finance, employment law and contracts, premises, pensions and leading teams, in addition to regular facilitated peer support and individual mentoring.  It is delivered by experts in the field and supported by existing GP Partners.  You do not have to attend all the sessions.  We ask you attend the induction and final session and then choose those relevant to your development, which may be all or some of the below.

  • Fundamentals of accounts and partnership agreements – Wednesday 10 December 2025 (venue TBC)
  • Employment law, contracts and HR – Tuesday 20 January 2025 (Venue TBC)
  • Leading Teams – 26 February 2026 (venue TBC)
  • Estates and finances – 3 March 2026 (venue TBC)
  • 1/2 day Pensions and personal finance – Wednesday 14 May 2026 (venue TBC)
  • Leading Change – Tuesday 23 June 2026 (venue TBC)
  • Strategic planning / workforce planning – Tuesday 14th July 2026

Final session Future proofing your practice, reflection and next steps – Tuesday 15 September 2026 (venue TBC)

Additional programme support

Prior to the programme you will be required to complete an Insights psychometric profile assessment to help you understand more about your own personal strengths and preferences.

Peer support groups will take place bi monthly (dates TBC) for 90 minutes over lunch/early evening.

Mentoring will be available monthly at a time to suit you and your mentor.
