Fundamentals of Mental Health: Raising Confidence working with this Patient Group (Face to Face) – 24th October 2024


This course is taking place on the 24th October 2024, 9.15 registration, with a 4.30 close.

This introductory course is designed to give practitioners an overview of mental health conditions, taking a practical approach to understand the impact this can have on the management of long-term physical health conditions.

This course is aimed at those staff within primary care who are new to mental health and might not have any previous experience.

The course will cover:

  • preconceptions
  • the role of primary care
  • mental health disorders
  • trauma-informed approach
  • mental health assessments
  • medication and monitoring
  • stepped care approach
  • effective QoF/LTC reviews

Cost of Course

This course is provided free of charge to members of the Primary Care Education Programme. For non-members, a charge of £150 (including VAT) applies.
