This is a 3-hour session is taking place virtually on the 23rd June 2026, 9.30-12.30 exploring the benefits and key components of workplace mentoring and supervision.
The workshop will include a blend of activities to facilitate learning. To support this, participants will be encouraged to share examples from their own workplaces to aid practical application and transfer of learning.
Outline content:
- Develop understanding of what mentoring is, as distinct from other forms of development.
- Explore the scope and limits of the mentoring and supervision role.
- Stages of development and reflection on how mentoring and supervision can support a learning journey.
- The value adding benefits of effective mentoring and supervision.
- Understand potential barriers to successful mentoring and supervision alongside ways to overcome them.
Course Cost
This course is provided free of charge to staff employed within primary care in Cornwall, with funding sourced alternatively to the Education Programme subscription.
