Obesity – Provided by E-Learning for Health

  • This e-learning course is designed to help GPs and other primary care clinicians develop the knowledge and skills necessary to address obesity when presented in a primary care setting. The course contains four sessions which address the issue of obesity, how to clinically assess unhealthy weight and how to subsequently manage this, including how to take a behavioural change approach with adults and families.

Nutrition and Obesity – Provided by E-Learning for Health

  • These resources help to develop knowledge and understanding of obesity and weight management, as well as recognising the importance of nutrition and malnutrition in delivering patient care.

Healthier Weight Competency Framework – Provided by E-Learning for Health

  • Based on role and experience, this session will help learners and educators to assess their development needs and signpost to the resources that meet their learning requirements. The framework will also be useful to educators and practice educators, to guide learning in this area.

Nutritional Screening: A MUST for Healthcare Workers

  • Through the BAPEN e-learning portal you can directly access 3 interactive e-Learning modules on nutritional screening using ‘MUST’, designed for health and care staff working in hospitals, primary care and care homes. Developed in partnership between BAPEN and Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS, these three modules explain the causes and consequences of malnutrition, the importance of nutritional screening and how to screen using ‘MUST’. Access is free using an NHS email address. You will need to set up an account to gain access.

Eating Disorder Awareness

  • Cornwall Health Library have put together a display of books and resources to support eating disorder awareness.

Eating Disorder E-Learning for GPs and Primary Care Clinicians – Provided by E-Learning for Health

  • To support GPs and primary care clinicians in understanding and supporting people of all ages with an eating disorder, HEE has worked in partnership with experts by experience, NHS England and NHS Improvement and the charity Beat to launch online eating disorder learning.
