This course is delivered by Dr Sarah Gray and will be taking place at St Erme Medical on 13th February 2025, 2.00pm-4.30pm. Places are limited.
This course is aimed at experienced nurses and GPs who are already competent to perform vaginal speculum examinations (e.g. smear takers). This session is suitable for both clinicians who do not currently fit and replace pessaries for prolapse, but who would like to do so, and also those who would like a refresher.
The session will cover:
- Causes of and risks for prolapse
- Clinical assessment
- Use of vaginal oestrogens
- Types of pessary
- Practical session with models
There will be the opportunity to ask questions and discuss clinical issues.
Cost of Course
This course is provided free of charge to members of the Primary Care Education Programme. For non-members, a charge of £112 (inclusive of VAT) applies.
