Following further cases of children presenting in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) after a delayed diagnosis of diabetes, the paediatric diabetes team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust would be grateful if GPs could complete this e-learning tool on diagnosing diabetes in children.
The training takes just 5 minutes and the aim is to prevent presentation in DKA, which currently occurs in 38.5% of children and can be life-threatening.
