At Newquay Health Centre, we are committed to delivering exceptional standards of care to our patients.
The ideal candidate will provide a blend of routine face-to-face clinic sessions, with 15-minute appointments, alongside duty or triage sessions. We are transitioning to Accurx triage and have a dedicated duty team to manage patient flow daily.
Supported by our wider team, you will safely prescribe, refer, and manage queries and correspondence accurately and within safe timescales. We encourage the pursuit of specialisms and areas of interest, offering opportunities for training and mentoring.
We encourage regular discussions with colleagues and have frequent clinical meetings and events. We also make it a priority to meet as clinicians for coffee every day at 11am.

At Newquay Health Centre, we serve a diverse patient population of over 17,500 individuals, with a strong focus on care, quality, and innovation.
We invest in our staff by providing opportunities for feedback, protected learning time events, CPD, and mentoring. Many of our GPs hold leadership roles in areas of interest and are supported in developing portfolio careers. As a training practice, we also invest in the future workforce by offering learning and development opportunities for students and trainees.
We are part of the Watergate PCN, alongside two other local practices. Our additional roles staff support and share the delivery of clinical care, ensuring patients see the right clinician for their needs.
As a large family practice, we have 9 GP Partners, 8 Salaried GPs, Specialist and Practice Nurses, Advanced Health Care Assistants, Paramedics, Trainee Doctors, First Contact Physiotherapists, and Pharmacists.
Wellbeing is a primary focus at Newquay Health Centre. We actively listen to the needs of our staff through regular surveys, meetings, and social events, working collaboratively to make improvements.
