Sleep Overview Training (Virtual Learning) – 25th March 2025

This session is being delivered as part of the Children and Young People (CYP) Mental Health Early Intervention training programme and is for CYP staff working in Cornwall.

The strong connection between poor sleep and compromised mental health is well established. Healthy sleep patterns are increasingly recognized as vital for emotional, social, and mental wellbeing, as well as for concentration and learning. Many children and young people suffer from inadequate sleep, affecting their overall health.

This session, delivered by Hunrosa, will explain the science behind healthy sleep and offer guidance on establishing good sleep habits for CYP and their families. This session will focus on KS2 up to 16 years, covering:

  • How sleep works / sleep science
  • How to screen for medical conditions and assess for the severity of sleep issues
  • Where to take a severe sleep problem
  • Advice around sleep and routine
  • Regularising sleep

This session is being delivered via MS Teams on Tuesday 25th March 2025, 10.00-11.30.
