Managing Risk and Uncertainty in Primary Care (Virtual) – 27th November 2024

The Primary Care Academy (South West) would like to invite you to attend  “Managing risk and uncertainty in Primary Careeducational session which will be held on:

Wednesday 27th November 2024 at 0930-1230

Patients are getting more and more complicated, and it seems things are rarely straightforward these days. This 3-hour interactive workshop will explore some of the strategies we can use as clinicians to help create certainty out of an increasingly complex world!

  • Do you ever feel overwhelmed when things are not clear cut with patients?
  • Do you worry about over or under investigating patients – and how do you know if you got it right?
  • Do you worry that blood results can be difficult to interpret?
  • Does it feel like more patients are being medicalised and given labels / medicines than ever before?

If you answered YES to any of the above, then this workshop will help you feel more comfortable with managing uncertainty and will make links to overdiagnosis and how we as clinicians can gauge how to pitch it at the right level and reduce that fear of being criticised for over or under treating someone.
