Dementia Conference – 15th May 2026


We are delighted to announce Cornwall’s 6th dementia conference.

This year it will be taking place at the Pavilion Centre, Royal Cornwall Showground, in Wadebridge, 08:30 registration, event starts at 08:55 finishing at 16:00, on Friday 15th May 2026. Introducing International Dementia Action Week 19th-25th May.

The emphasis of this year’s conference is research, living well with dementia and supporting carers.  The conference will feature a range of speakers and workshops.

AGENDA

Some of the confirmed line-up includes:

  • Professor Kevin Brazil, Queens University Belfast, delivering a session on ‘Integrating Palliative Care in Dementia, support across the journey’.
  • Jane Howard, CEO, Arts-Well UK, delivering a session on ‘Creative Arts and Dementia’.
  • Nicolle Mitchell, Massage4Dementia, delivering a session on ‘Rediscovering Touch and Dementia’.
  • Dr Jay Reynolds, Consultant Lead for Dementia and Delirium, RCHT, delivering a session on ‘Delirium prescribing and medications’.
  • Workshops including; Cognitive Stimulation Therapy by Memory Matters, Music and Memories by University of Exeter, Creativity and Dementia by Vicki Bampfield-Hammond.
  • Home Instead’s Dementia Simulator Bus.

Booking Information

We ask everyone except people living with dementia, their unpaid carers and those watching at home for a £20.00 fee. This subsidises a proportion of the event cost. This fee is non-refundable.

Please book using the booking form below to secure a place. Please only request a single ticket unless you are an unpaid carer or a person living with dementia. This will ensure that we can identify individual needs / requirements and ensure we obtain a good cross section of attendance from each group.

This event will be recorded. By requesting a face-to-face ticket, you accept you may be recorded and included in the footage of the conference.  If you would like to be notified when the recording is available online please register below.

The Pavilion Centre has wheelchair and lift access and free parking with specific spots for those needing closer parking.
